Wow. I feel like a rock star having just posted media other than photos on this site. I just let the blog do the work, that's my secret.
So I've had all kinds of insomniatic (insomnious? insomniatious?--oh yeah, how about sleepless? There. That's better.) nights as of late, and tonight I said uncle. Up until now I've done the "responsible thing": you know, actually tried to fall asleep or something. The past few nights the responsible thing hasn't worked out so well, so tonight I decided to do something fun instead, like spend some QT with The Ol' Blog.
You may be wondering, "Why the insomnia?" Yes, I have a few things on my mind, chiefly What In The World Should I Do With My Life Right Now? But I've had enough of wondering that lately. Besides, I'm not sure The Blog and I have reached such personal terms in our relationship yet.
So instead let's talk about my favorite bands and whether or not it's appropriate to name any possible future sons after them. And no, I am not talking about Trashcan Sinatras. I do have my limits. I'm talking about Keane, featured in the other post I created tonight, and Travis.
I adore these bands. I can listen to entire albums from any of them without skipping songs. They fit any mood, any time of day. My children will be in good hands if I can love them as much as I love this music. Okay, that last part may be an overstatement, but I'm going to need a better explanation than, "Honey, you were named after my/your mother's favorite band," if little Travis ever wants to know where his name came from.
There's no sense in consulting Kelly on the matter. From what I can tell, he thinks he only holds veto power when it comes to the naming of our future offspring. Power of affirmation or origination are seemingly not on his radar yet. But then again, neither is future offspring. You can't blame the guy for not putting the cart before the horse.
This just the sort of Weighty Matter I decide to focus on when I can't sleep and am avoiding the Big Blog Catch Up. But stay tuned for posts such as "The Hoopes Come to Town," "Holy Cow London," "Ballard Locks Upgraded," "Kayaking With the Whales," and other August adventures. If this insomnia hangs around, they'll be up in no time.

I'm so proud of you, Lindy! You posted music! :) And CALL ME, sorry about the phone tag...
I'm sorry for the sleepless nights, but I'm glad you found an outlet in blogging. It really can be therapeutic. I'm excited to hang out with you some time soon. I'll call as soon as I'm feeling back to 100%.
What?! You've got all this insomniatic (I love that word) time on your hands and you're not devoting it to creating the world's greatest cupcake recipe from scratch??? How are we ever going to become Provo's first cupcake billionaires unless you really start applying yourself? Focus, Lindy, FOCUS! ;-)
I love your randomness.. and you are a good, entertaining writer. Hope you get some sleep soooon. No more entreprenuerial insomnia.

Your next door neighbor
Lindy... We're waiting. Blog! Blog! Blog! Blog!
Okay, I'm about to go wake up the Community Aides and have them unlock your door to see if you're still alive over there. Does that scare you, or what? Blog before you hear keys rattling in your lock one day while you're sitting there watching TV in your unmentionables....
Hey Lindy it's Natalie (Peart)...remember me? I got your email from Mauri and I don't know if you check it very often but you should because I sent a little message your way. Hope all is well. It would be great to see you since it has been such a long time. Hope all is well.
